Trusting God When You Can’t See Beyond the Cocoon | Gracie’s Flight of Faith🦋
My First Blog…Gracie’s Flight of Faith 🤍🦋
Glory to God.
Tomorrow is the day Gracie’s Flight of Faith is released, and my heart feels full beyond words. The tears flowing today are not from one moment, but from fifty-seven years of living, years of waiting, healing, learning to trust God, and discovering His faithfulness through every season of life. I’m really glad you’re here. 🦋🫶
I keep thinking about the moment you open my book, my story, for the very first time. The quiet of that moment. The turning of pages. The gentle way God meets us right where we are, often in ways we don’t even realize at first.
This all began thirty-four years ago with a whisper from the Lord. I was young, crying, and asking Him why my life was so hard. And He whispered back to me, “Your life is like a butterfly.” That single sentence became a seed planted deep in my heart.
For more than three decades, He never stopped speaking to me, guiding me, and loving me. He simply never mentioned the butterfly again. Through every stage of my life-the moment I was conceived in my mother’s womb, He knew me completely. He saw every tear, every prayer, every stumble, every quiet moment of becoming. Hallelujah.
There were seasons when I believed I was never good enough. I tried harder. I questioned my worth. I measured myself by standards God was never using. Yet through it all, He remained faithful, gently shaping me even when I couldn’t see what He was doing-even in the times I chose my own path instead of His.
Then one day 32 years later, God asked me a question that changed everything:
“Do you think the caterpillar could see outside the cocoon?”
Now, just days from the release of Gracie’s Flight of Faith, with readers around the world soon holding my story in their hands, my answer is simple. No. The caterpillar couldn’t see the outside of the cocoon. She couldn’t see what was forming. She couldn’t see who she was becoming. She had to trust the process.
That is where Gracie was born. 🦋
This story isn’t about becoming good enough. It’s about discovering we were known, loved, and chosen by God all along. It’s about trusting Him in the hidden seasons of life. It’s about believing that even when we can’t see beyond the cocoon, He is still at work.
Even when you can’t see what God is doing. Even when you feel unseen or unworthy. He knows you. He formed you. He is faithful.
He is a finisher.
And if you are reading this and your heart feels stirred, I want you to know this-He is not far away. He is closer than you realize. You don’t need the right words. You don’t need to have it all figured out.
Just call out to Him. Whisper His name. Open your heart.
If you seek Him, you will find Him.
If you turn toward Him, He will meet you right where you are.
He loves to reveal Himself to those who are willing to see.
He is right there. 🤍
You are not forgotten.
You are not late.
You are not lacking.
You are becoming. 🫶
